Parent Favorites on Pinna

I never knew how much I needed Pinna in my life until we had it! On the first weekend, my eight year old literally cleaned up our entire playroom (no small feat) while listening to every episode of Hero Hotel. And she was happy to do it! As if that isn’t enough of a testimonial, my five year old tried broccoli during dinner after listening to Molly and the Sugar Monster… something I had been trying to convince him to do for months. Then a long, trafficky car ride turned into a delight as they both listened happily to Pinna’s audiobooks and called out answers to ExtraBLURT, the game show podcast. After struggling to find audio tapes and podcasts that could appeal to both of them (and especially to the younger one), we are so delighted to have Pinna in our parenting toolbox! (Now if only I hadn’t wasted all that money on long audiobooks that were immediately rejected!)

We listen to Pinna almost daily. Food Crimes is the adult favorite. Grimm, Grimmer, Grimmest stories are the kids favorites!

We like to listen to almost everything together and discuss it as a family. We choose what to listen to together, make predictions, play along, etc. Majority of the time we spend on Pinna is at bedtime listening to stories - A to Z Mysteries is a current favorite. When Pinna is on during the day, he likes the fan shows (The Totally Unauthorized Minecraft Fan Show), music, jokes... especially if it is gaming related. We obviously like it because it's screen free, and gets him off YouTube!

We all really enjoy the content on Pinna. Us grown ups are certainly fans of the Pinna Originals because they're fun, family listening :) I like listening to most of the stuff my daughter listens to, like Don't Break the Rules. Also, The Unexplained Disappearance of Mars Patel needs a special mention since that’s what got this mom hooked on Pinna in the first place!

Grimm, Grimmer, Grimmest. That is one of our absolutely top favorites. As a family, we also listen to Opal Watson Private Eye since it takes place in Chicago! My kids love it and so do I!
